In just a few days, the upper gym will transform from an everyday space into the center of school spirit.
This year’s Spirit Week will be capped off by a winter pep rally held on Friday, December 19th.
Grades will be called down at around 1:35 p.m., and the pep rally will end at 2:35 p.m.
Students will wear different colors to represent their class. Class advisors should have emailed each grade regarding the themes.
The SGO vice president, Jack Maschio, shared more information about the pep rally. “The pep rally’s purpose is to highlight all the achievements of River Dell students,” said Maschio. “It usually leans toward focusing on the sports teams.”
“You can expect entirely new games this year. Unlike prior pep rallies, this one has brand-new games and events,” noted Maschio.
This year, the following games will be played: dodgeball, pickleball, and basketball. If there is time left, there will be a chance to play musical chairs.
Pep rallies are typically held in the fall or winter, but in the past, River Dell has even held a spring pep rally. When asked about one, Maschio said, “Possibly. We’ll see how the Winter Pep Rally goes.”
Be on the lookout for more pep rally updates! If you want to participate, fill out the form sent by Mrs. Cuccio.
If anyone wants to play on a team, email Mrs. Cuccio separately.
