March is Women’s Empowerment Month, a time to recognize and celebrate the incredible contributions of women in our communities. This month, RDHS is proud to highlight the achievements of some of the women here like Mrs. Norton, the dedicated administrative assistant.
Before becoming a and became the administrative assistant for RDHS, Mrs. Norton previously worked for MTV Networks for 30 years.
She plays a crucial role in the daily operations of RDHS, supporting both students and staff with her tireless efforts and positive attitude.
Her journey at River Dell began four years ago, and since then, she has become an indispensable part of our educational community.
Her responsibilities include interacting with the students and the teachers, managing office tasks, and ensuring that the school runs smoothly. Her dedication and hard work have not gone unnoticed by her colleagues and superiors.
In an interview with the principal, Mr. Pepe, explained that. “She always has a smile on her face welcoming kids in the office and answering the phone making the parents feel comfortable whenever we get a call which makes my job so much easier, and it makes River Dell a welcoming place.”
Similarly, the assistant principal, Mr. Flanagan, expressed his admiration for Mrs. Norton’s contributions, “She literally runs the office especially when were not around, it’s a lot of responsibility that goes with her job. There are a lot of different things that she must work with every day, and she keeps it all organized which is very important for us and I don’t know what we would do without her.”
Her commitment to excellence and her ability to handle various tasks with grace and efficiency make her a role model for both students and staff. Her positive influence extends beyond the office, as she often takes the time to mentor students and support their academic and personal growth.
Not only does Mrs. Norton work at River Dell but her kids also attended RDHS in the past, which makes her more comfortable with the community itself. She is very dedicated to the community overall and loves helping with events that go on here at River Dell.
Mrs. Norton’s contributions to River Dell are invaluable. She embodies the essence of women’s empowerment through her hard work, dedication, and unwavering support for others. It is an honor to have her presence and emphasize on her achievements this Women’s Empowerment Month.
